Casual users may enjoy a web browser's bookmark managing system, but it may not be enough for advanced users, who work with hundreds of bookmarks on a daily basis. If you have difficulties finding specific bookmarks, on your preferred web browser, then you should look for a specialized application. Linkman Pro is designed to organize huge numbers of bookmarks. It places numerous features at your disposal, which make it quite easy to create or retrieve bookmarks, sort them, synchronize them between browsers or computers and more.

Linkman Pro works on Windows XP, as well as 32 and 64-bit editions of Win Vista, Win 7 and Win 8. The setup package is close to 7 MB and the installation process takes only a few seconds. Besides the program itself, the wizard may also install Linkman plug-ins for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

The user interface consists of four panels, on which you may create bookmarks, organize them, search for specific items, add comments and descriptions and more. The large number of options may confuse first time users, but the program comes with a shortcut for an online tutorial, as well as a detailed and well structured manual. You don't have to go through the entire documentation if you don't want to. To get started, you just need to experiment with the available functions, by creating or importing a few bookmarks. Once you gather your first bookmarks, you will discover various features, which can make your life easier.

New bookmarks can be created by typing a name, URL and one or more keywords, in the appropriate input fields, on the main user interface. Additional information can be added to individual bookmarks, on a Properties window. Alternatively, you can add bookmarks directly from your web browser, clipboard or other sources. It is also possible to import all bookmarks or favorite items, in a single run, from Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or other browsers. If you install one of the browser plug-ins that come with Linkman Pro, you can add web pages to the program's database, from your web browser.

You can organize bookmarks and search for one or more items in the lower panel, on the main window. The search panel displays your bookmarks in a list and it color codes them, according to their ratings. If you assign keywords to a bookmark, you can use them to locate the bookmark instantly. You can also display a secondary database, on one of the lower panels and synchronize your bookmarks in one direction or another. If you have DropBox or another similar service, the software can use it to synchronize your database between computers.
